Express HAUL

Hello my fellow fashionistas! I started a new job where the uniform is to wear black, but in a professional manner! All the black clothes I own is very casual, so I had to step up my game. Whenever I think of professional and fashionable, Express comes to mind! They aren't exactly at the most affordable price, but they have great sales, which makes it a great stop. Spring Fashion Trends - Part 2 TARGET HAUL

When I started this Spring Fashion Trends journey, I set myself a $300 goal...I ended up going over my budget by $30 (w/o taxes). I feel like I got everything I wanted and really needed! Paris Fashion Week - Fall 2012

Bonjour mes amies! I think of all the fashion weeks, Paris is my favorite! I love to see the spectacular runway shows of Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Valentino. This year we also got introduced to Kanye West's new line...who knew he wanted to be a designer?! The runways brought us a variety of trends that I believe will be dominant in the Fall. We saw Red at Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Paul & Joe. Metallics brought the holiday spirit at Ellie Saab, Hakaan and Kanye West. We saw the first signs of Capes at the Oscar's a la Gwyneth Paltrow and know they are at the runways of Alexander McQueen, Ellie Saab and Valentino. We will also see lots of Embellishments on everything, in the forms of buttons, appliques and brocade. The last trend I saw throughout the runways was the sheath silhouette. This is a form fitted shape that is the same from top to bottom, we mostly see this shape in dresses, but this Fall we will see it jackets, coats, and suits. We saw this at Chanel, Ellie Saab and Hakaan. Well folks, this wraps up Fashion Week season! I hope you are as excited about this Fall as I am!

Spring Fashion Trends - Part I

In preparing for my Spring Wardrobe, I had to make what I call a "creative list"...an inspiration board! I scanned through the March issues of Vogue, Elle, InStyle, Lucky and People Style Watch for the key trends this Spring. So I began to tear out colors, outfits, accessories and garments I would like to incorporate into my closet! This really gets me motivated but also keeps me on track. I hate going into a store and not having a gameplan. You can overspend so easily that way! And go home with buyer's remorse! You all know what I'm talking about! I put all of the cut-outs together and created an inspiration board, something that can inspire me for the whole season! I will use this when I go to my choice of stores (watch video for details) and also down the line when I am standing in my closet and saying to myself "I have nothing to wear!"
